How to assign an IXL skill in Google Classroom? ›

To assign a skill through Google Classroom, open the skill and click Share skill at the top right. Then, click the Google Classroom icon. Assign IXL skills to your students through Google Classroom with just a few clicks. Effortlessly track class and student progress with our real-time Analytics.

If you use Google Classroom, you can assign an IXL skill right from the skill's practice page! To assign a skill with Google Classroom: Sign in to your IXL account. Navigate to the skill you'd like to share and click on it.

Simply hover over the star next to any skill and select a class or individual student from the menu that appears. Once you have starred the skill, it will be highlighted for your students in their accounts. Watch this step-by-step video to see how to suggest skills to your students!

On your roster, click Import students, and select Import from Google Classroom. If you are on a school or district license, the option will appear as Import from Google Classroom. Follow the prompts to sign in to your Google account and allow IXL to connect to your Google Classroom.

After installation and signing up, open the IXL assignment page, click on the Grading Assistant icon in the browser toolbar, click grab data, scale the grades if necessary, and then fill in the grades on the assignment page in the Google Classroom gradebook.

In the top left corner, give your quiz a name, select whether you want students to see their score immediately when they submit their quiz, and choose which students you would like to assign the quiz to. When you're finished, click “Publish quiz” to assign the quiz to your students.

Click Classes on the top menu bar. Click Import Google Classes. When prompted, select or enter your Google Classroom sign-in information. Click Allow in each Google Classroom prompt to grant Realize access to your Google Classroom account.

It's easy to email sign-in information to all of your students. When you create your roster in IXL, be sure to include an email for each student. Once you are finished adding students, click the Email each student their username and password link to distribute sign-in information to all of your learners.

Yes! You have the option to organize your students by classes on your roster. If you do not currently use the class feature and would like to do so, click Create classes in the right corner of your roster.
