Job Description & ResponsibilitiesJH Lynch is seeking a staff accountant to work at our Cumberland headquarters. The Staff Accountant will have a general knowledge of accrual accounting and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing day-to-day accounting operations, assisting in month-end close procedures and supporting ad-hoc activities.
Specific Responsibilities
Process accounts payable invoices to ensure accurate and timely payment
Assist with billing of accounts receivable, including daily revenue accounting
Cash management including daily cash receipts and bank account reconciliation
Execute monthly close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist job cost accounting on monthly basis as needed with potential to grow into construction accounting role
Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; basic Excel proficiency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
